Extraordinary Staff... Exceptional Outcomes.

Patient and Family Testimonials

It's been a week since we left our daughter in your care and returned home to Florida.  Although it was difficult leaving her, we are very comfortable with the fact that she's there with all of your professional and caring staff.

There is such a family atmosphere everywhere.  Everyone at the center knows our daughter by name and always stops to say "Hi" and receive one of her ever present smiles she seems to reserve just for all of you.

Each and every member of your staff has touched us in so many ways.  Our special thanks go out to all but I'd like to mention some of the aspects of your staff that have captured a special place in our hearts.
  • Greeting everyone with a smile and positive comment...
  • Making everyone feel as if you're a welcome visitor in their living room...
  • Providing passion, concern, and dedication to their jobs...
  • Loving your patients...
  • Always making time no matter how busy or silly the request...
  • Giving out hugs to get people through very tough times...
  • Bringing a whole new meaning to a morning stretch...
  • Being a positive, loving woman...
  • Never too busy to help or give assistance...
  • Stopping by daily to tell our daughter it's time to get moving on out!
  • Showing so much love, patients and genuine joy at all our daughter is working on accomplishing...
  • Always being full of happiness, fun and smiles all day...
  • Knowing every person's name and special "needs" and always smiling!
Thank you all for making us part of the Port Chester family.  Our daughter has been in many placements since leaving Columbia Presbyterian in late January.  I can honestly tell you that Port Chester is the best!  Please keep up the great work!

We're looking forward to seeing you all soon.
We cannot thank you enough for all you have done for my father. It was our destiny that brought us to you. Your whole organization become a family to me and my family; everyone is so friendly and smiling all the time and ready to help. Now that he is home we are going to miss all of you. Keep up the good work.
I had known about your high success rate in treating advanced wounds and immediately recommended your wound healing program to my wife. I would like thank you and the staff for the outstanding quality of care my mother-in-law received at Port Chester Nursing and Rehab Center. I commend you for the high quality of your wound and rehabilitation programs. We appreciate your caring and gentle way. Your support and kindness to family members who visited is greatly appreciated.
I want to commend you and the entire staff for the excellent care, patience and understanding given to my wife. My special thanks to all on the 2nd floor, nurses and aides who came in contact with my wife. Bless you all for caring and giving tender loving care to all. Thank you.
You're all very special people. I wish to thank you for all the tender loving care you gave my husband. I know how hard your duties can be at times but you handled some tough situations with kindness and caring.
My family and I want to thank everyone who lovingly cared for our mother over the past two years at Port Chester Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre. During her time at the facility, we became a part of the Port Chester nursing home "family".

Our mother was a beloved resident and my family and I always knew that she was respected and well cared for by everyone on your staff. We thank all of your compassionate nurses and aides, Admission staff, Recreation staff, Business Office, Social Workers, Receptionists and Maintenance staff for all the services that they provided, but especially for always treating our mother with loving care.

We especially want to thank all of the wonderful staff on 3 West who cared for our mother daily and always provided for her every need.

We miss her very much, but we will always be grateful to you for the love, patience and kindness that you gave to her each and every day.
On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you and your wonderful staff for the excellent care that my dad received. As you know, we brought Dad there for comfort care after a stay at the hospital. Within 24 hours of being moved to your facility, my dad was calmer and he said that he felt he was as close to home as he could get without actually being home.

I would especially like to single out several people for their dedication to my father's comfort and care. The head nurse was not only a dedicated professional, but was extremely approachable. She was able to solve any problems that cropped up in an efficient and intelligent manner.

Two aides were especially close to my dad and did a wonderful job taking care of him. One kept Dad shaved and "spiffed up" every day and we all appreciated it very much. The day that he gave my father a shower, my father couldn't wait to tell us how good the water felt. I know it wasn't easy and I appreciate everything he did to make my dad feel cared for every day. The other caregiver took not only wonderful care of my father, but gave him love and kindness every day. Her smile and warm, caring ways were a source of much happiness in the last days of my father's life. Words cannot express how much we owe her for making my dad comfortable and happy. He looked forward to her coming in every day.

Many others on your staff were also of great help, Everyone we came into contact with was warm and caring. You have created a family atmosphere in your facility while maintaining the highest standards of care. I commend you and your staff for the wonderful work that you do. My father's last three weeks were as comfortable as they could be and he was surrounded by people who cared.

In conclusion, I would also like to thank you for taking my mom's financial situation into account and being generous with her. We all thank you for your kindness and consideration in this matter.

Thank you.
I brought you a very sick ninety one year old man and you gave me back my ninety three year old father. How does a boy thank the people that gave him back his father? I really don't know how, but I will try.

Two years ago my brother and I brought my father to you in extremely bad shape. At the same time I watched my mother pass. But in those same days, I watched what I believe were two miracles, the first was that we had landed in the hands of you and your staff. After a few weeks, I noticed the love, attention and devotion that you and your staff gave to all of your residents and to all those who passed through your doors. By realizing the degree of care, I developed a trust in you and felt very comfortable that my father was in your care.

The second miracle was the product of your efforts. Slowly but surely, my father improved. I watched as you and your staff cared for and guided my father. Not once did you ever give up and now my father is in an assisted living facility leading a productive and enjoyable life. I don't know exactly how you did it! My sincere thanks to you and your entire staff. My sincere love to all of your residents.
I am writing to let you know just much I am grateful for the love and care that the entire staff at Port Chester Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre bestowed upon me.

During a very difficult time in my life when I was ill and away from my home and family everyone treated me so well and made my transition easier and as a result I was able to heal and return to my home. I will never forget all the loving care I received on a daily basis and I consider the entire staff as part of my new family. I feel secure that my husband is receiving the same professional care and attention that you offered me throughout my tenure at your facility. May God bless you for all the good work that you continue to do.
My grandmother referred to your facility as her apartment. She felt safe and secure and cared for. We could not have asked for anything more. I would like to express my personal thanks and appreciation to you and your wonderful staff at Port Chester Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre for the care you gave my grandmother. Our entire family will always be in your debt. You all will be in our prayers. Thank you again very, very much.
My father told me he liked Port Chester Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and felt like he was at a hotel. I cannot find the appropriate words to express my gratitude for the way you cared for and helped him. Please accept my sincere appreciation for all your help and kindness, I will always be grateful. Thank you so very much.
There are no words to thank you all for the way in which my mom and I were so cared for and supported in her final days. You nursed my mother back to health and home several times over the past 3 years. The loving, caring way you all took care of my mother went above and beyond your job descriptions. You took care of her as an individual with individual needs, as if she were your own family member. The outpouring of genuine love was overwhelming for me and carried me through a difficult time. I loved my mother dearly and so did all of you. Wishing you all the best the future has to offer.
Thank you for being the wonderful caregivers that you are. I just wanted to thank you once again for all the care and love you had shown my mom. I am so grateful that she was in your care for the last year and a half she was with us. I truly appreciate all that you have done. I have said this before and to many people, but if it wasn't for your care, she would have not been with us for this long. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers and you will never be forgotten.
Our family would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff for the concern and compassion they showed our Mom during her recent illness and passing.  She received quality care and was treated with the utmost dignity from the nurses, aides and physical therapists.  We will never forget their kindness  and we want them to know how much  they made this painful period of our lives  easier to endure.
We thank you for all of your efforts n her behalf, and are truly impressed by your outstanding leadership of the nursing facility. We want to express to you our heartfelt thanks for the attention and support provided to our mother during the last 15 months of life. Your wonderful caring staff made her stay there very comfortable and we are most appreciative. She spent a joyous 100th birthday celebration there, thanks to your assistance.
I want to thank each of you for the care and attention you gave my mother. In the months she spent with you she was treated with kindness and respect. She always spoke of how she was well-treated. It takes special people to take care of the elderly and each of you do a terrific job. Thanks again and God bless each of you.
We as a family would like to thank you for the excellent care you gave our dad over the last three years of his life. He was a loving, caring father, grandfather and friend. The staff at PCNRC gave this back to him. You made us feel like you really cared. Once again thank you.
This is just a note to tell you what a wonderful staff you have on 3rd floor West. Frequently I called the nurses station when I cannot reach my mother and they are always friendly, helpful and very kind. Bless them all.
My mother-in-law spoke so highly of everyone that came in contact with her at Port Chester Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre. My husband and I want to thank each and every one of you for all the care and attention you gave his mother during her stay. We really appreciated everything that was done for her.
You should be proud of your staff. We wish to thank you and your wonderful staff for the loving care that was given to my mother. The nurses aides were just so caring and wonderful to my mother during the years that she was there. We left there knowing "Mom" was in good hands.
Your facility was an excellent choice for my mother in her last days. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for the care she received at Port Chester Nursing and Rehabilitation Centre. Everyone with won I had contact with was unfailingly warm, helpful and respectful.
